The textures in the clay shows pictures of many cool & fun memorable Colorado icons. You will see common Colorado signs such as the Welcome to Colorado sign, the red, blue & yellow Colorado sign, "Native" sign. Others including mountains, skiers, Columbine state flower, gondolas, bears, mule deer, elk, bighorn sheep, 5280 (Mile Hi), skis & ski boots & LOTS more! My favorite signs are the Colorado flag in blue, yellow & red, & the "Welcome to Colorado" sign that you will see when you drive into Colorado on I-76, I-25 or I-70! Very recognizable signs ... such a FUN mug COLORS: Colorado Theme Mug in blue is dressed in a blue glossy glaze with highlights, with copper metallic rim & inside. Note the blue/red/yellow Colorado sign which highlights the surface. I call these mugs Colorado theme design, a fun keepsake or gift for a traveler. Each mug is individually made by me. This design in the surface is made it into the wet clay while it is being made & shaped. Each mug is made of stoneware clay, which is more durable than other clays, & fired two or more times to harden the clay, or vitrify it. Then glazes are added & fired again in temperatures above 2200 degrees. Food safe glazes throughout. Colorado Mug in Lavender has lavender (light purple) over the body of the mug, with a crystal glaze on the rim & inside of rim. Very beautiful! Colorado Mug in Lt green has a light green on the body of the mug & black glossy glaze on the rim & all of inside. It is a wonderful color combination! Each Colorado Flag Theme Mug has a hand-pulled handle, & additional details include the thumb hold, & a rest for your little finger below, for added comfort & usability. Be sure to check out the closeups! Each mug is very durable, dishwasher safe & microwave safe. Personally, I put mine in the dishwasher all the time & use microwave only 30 seconds to warm. Additionally, this mug holds 16+ ounces so there will be room for a generous cup of coffee & room for cream! The size is appx 4" tall x 4" wide x 3 1/2 deep.
