Description
Chinese Xuan stone double sided gongshi, cumulus & thunder cloud form. The cumulus side is a smooth, anfractuous shaped, lustrous, white color with sparse pink, grey & umber coloring, some pitting & fossilized spongy encrustations within its many unique folds & recesses. The thunder cloud side is a predominately grey color with sand & white highlights, in a semi-planar rhomboid shape with myriad voids & recesses, spongiform fossils & heavy pitting through out. The gongshi is mounted on a polished, custom fitted, Chinese hongmu base. Circa ROC no later than mid century. Excellent vintage condition.
