Joanna Sarapata (1962 , Warszawa) . Watercolor & pencil on paper Framed : 15.5 x 13.5 inches Image: 11.55 x 8.5 Born in 1962 in Warsaw - Polish painter. From 1984 to 1987, she studied at L'ecole Nationale Superieur de Beaux-Arts in Paris, where 11 of her paintings were accepted into the school archives. During her studies, she made several collective exhibitions with the Academy of Fine Arts students. in 1986 she won the main prize in the student competition for the Paris Opera. After graduation, she moved to Saint Tropez, where she exhibited & created for the next ten years. For 4 years, she worked for the Cartier company, where she was offered an exhibition at the Cartier Foundation, where 4 of her paintings were exhibited. During her work at Cartier, she met her future clients - Elton John & his agent - John Raid. in 1994, Polish Television made a biographical documentary "Joanna Sarapata" about her work, directed by Hanna Kramarczuk. in 1995 she exhibited her paintings at the Carré d'Or Hotel at the Champs-Elyées, where one of her paintings was purchased by Michael Jackson. She had her first own exhibition in Gustavia on Saint Barthélemy. in 2001 she moved to Barcelona, where she lived & worked for the next 9 years. Currently, she creates & lives between Poland & Spain. Her works' lovers & clients are José Carreras, Roger Dartley (The Who), Elton John, John Raid, Rémy Grumbach, Rossy De Palma, Gosia Bela & Gene Gutowski. Joanna Sarapata | 1962, Warszawa .
