19th Century Antique Arabic Solid Brass Brazier with Tray Crescent Moon & Star Dome with Pierced Design Hand crafted, highly decorated with ornate & figural designs throughout the pierced brass domed lid. The dome features a crescent moon & star finial on the top handle. The moon & star were the symbol of royalty & was also on the Egyptian flag during King Faruq's reign. Four solid decorative pieces: Tray, Stand, Bowl, & Lid One flaw to note see last photo. These kinds of brass brazier were used as food warmers in tents in Morocco, Turkey, & the Middle East or used for incense burning during ceremonies.
