This Salem China "Yorktown" platter is in excellent, seemingly unused, condition. The glaze is smooth, shiny & slippery all-over with no nicks, chips, repairs, utensil marks or dishwasher damage. It measures 12½" x 9¾". The backstamp reads "Yorktown, by Salem China Co., Olde Staffordshire, Finest English Ironstone, Hand Engraved Underglaze, Permanent Colour, Salem, England." A classic produced since at least the 19th Century, this pattern is also referred to as "Copenhagen," "Denmark," or "Finlandia." We're diligent & uncompromising packers with decades of experience. This platter will be padded, snugly wrapped in layers of bubble wrap, then packed in a roomy, peanut-filled carton.
