Description
This is a vintage 1920s paper doll cut from a magazine. The doll & her printed outfits are designed by Grace Drayton. Once upon a time this belonged to a little girl named Helen. I stumbled across these many years ago, & thought they were so sweet. The most charming thing about them is the fact that she drew a lot of her own clothing designs. When I was a child , I drew paper dolls constantly, so these are close to my heart. The hand drawn clothing seems to be done on a variety of different papers - whatever scraps were on hand. The dolls name is written in cursive on the back - this one is Shirely May. Great for a paper doll collector, fashion historian, collage artist, or just a sentimentalist. I have other listings from her collection, please check out my shop! Doll measures approximately 7 inches tall. She has 2 printed outfits & 9 hand drawn outfits. This makes 12 pieces in all. Please study photos carefully as all sales are final. 1920S Paper Doll "Shirely May"
