But the best thing is the pieces self-position when you flip the board for a new game! Like magic! If you don't want to use the self-positioning feature, you can keep the chess board texture on top. All the pieces have individual spaces so they don't make too much sound while moving around, also this helps prevent losing any piece. To keep the board as small & thin as possible, the self-positioning will place the pawns on the 3rd row. They would need to be moved one square back. Please note that 3D printed items are made by adding very thin layers of plastic, one layer at a time. Slight imperfections / rough edges are expected, but I work hard to avoid them.
