Description
This wonderful dresser set has two perfumes & a trinket box. It was made by Heirlooms of Tomorrow from Manhattan Beach, California. It can be identified by the ink stamp that is on each piece that has "MB inside a shield - Heirlooms of Tomorrow - Made in U.S.A.". The trinket box also has a foil label that states "The Original - Heirlooms - of Tomorrow - Manhattan Beach - Calif". This company was in business in the 1940s. It later became California Originals. The perfume bottles are 4-1/2" tall x 3" wide x 1-3/4" deep. They have their stoppers that have cork on the end to keep them tight. The trinket box is 2-3/4" tall with a 3-1/4" diameter. The box has a set on lid. All three pieces have pale green backgrounds with gold trim. They have applied flowers. The perfume bottles have pink roses with dark green leaves. The powder box is a bit different green. It has a rose in the center top with holly hock type flowers around the rose. These flowers are lavender, pink, & white. There are small yellow rings that look like seed beads, but they are pottery. The box has 4 feet. These pieces are hand decorated & painted. From left to right the first perfume is in pictures #1-4. The trinket box is in pictures #5-7. The last perfume is in pictures #8-10. This pretty set is from the 1940s. As is expected with applied flowers, each piece has some damage. The perfume bottle on the left is missing 1/2 of it's cork. But it still fits tightly. It is also missing a part of the petal on the right center. The box is missing a piece of the bottom leaf that is broken off. & maybe a couple of the "seed beads". & the last perfume is missing a piece of the left center petal from the rose on the stopper.
