Ten (10) California Condor 8 cent vintage stamps. Scott # 1430 Issued: 1971 This stamp, featuring an illustration of a California Condor, was part of a block of four different designs meant to raise awareness of endangered animals. The California Condor is the largest North American land bird & one of the rarest birds in the world. It actually went extinct in the wild in the 80s & thankfully was able to be bread in captivity before being reintegrated back into certain parts of North America. Add that perfect finishing touch to your postcards, letters, or invitations with these beautiful vintage stamps. They can also be used in scrapbooking, junk journals, or other various craft projects. All stamps are mint condition with their original gum intact, though sometimes a glue stick helps when adhering them due to their age. Also note that these stamps are a bit over sized, see the last photo showing how they compare to other stamps.
