Dense Blazing Star (liatris spicata 'kobold'), also known as the prairie gayfeather, is a perennial flowering plant known for its gorgeous purple-blue flower spikes. It's a popular plant for prairies & meadows. They're long bloomers during the summer months. The flowers can be used as cut flowers for arrangements. This plant is a great pollinator for bees, butterflies & hummingbirds. These do well as single specimens but also pair well broad-leaf plants. Dense blazing star is low-maintenance & easy to grow.
