1991 vintage, original, exhibition poster "Circa 1492. Art in the age of Exploration". National Gallery of Art, Washington. Depicting the famous " Vitruvius Man" ( 1490) by Leonardo da Vinci ( 1452 - 1519). The Exhibition ( October 12, 1991 - January 12, 1992) reflected the 500th anniversary of the meeting of worlds that took place at the end of the 15th century, Circa 1492 introduced the most significant secular event in human history & termed the "Age of Exploration." Including more than 600 paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, maps, scientific instruments, & works of decorative art from four continentsmost of them created during the late 15th or early 16th century. The unique poster in the great condition. Never used & well kept. Very clean without any discoloration, no repairs, no odor. Has small vertical creases ( visible only from the back).
