Two hand made picture wall decorations ,Israel 1960s. A kibbutz shepherd playing a flute & his sheep , the kibbutz with its water tower & red roofed houses in the background. A biblical scene, possibly of Rachel at the well, with her village in the background . Hand painted cut out wooden figures on a sand textured painted wooden background, If you visited or toured in the young Israel of the 60s you could buy these as a memento from your holiday . The orange tax stamp on the back of one of the pictures is from the 60s. Both works are around 12 inches (30 cm) tall & 8-9 inches (20 - 22.5cm) wide . Used vintage condition , patina some scuffing & paint loss (pic 5) but still a nicely preserved piece of Israeliana that would fit into any vintage decorated room.
