Authentic Viking silver ring with glass stone around 10th.C. A.D. in partially cleaned excavated condition. This is a size 6.5. The condition is exceptional & extremely strong, & has been conserved & no breaks or significant corrosion. Vikings were fascinated by ring shaped jewelry. Men & women wore them on their fingers, wrists, forearms, upper arms, & even around their necks (known as torcs/torques). Some rings were simple circlets. Others were ornate works of art. They were made of iron, silver, copper, bronze, or gold, according to the means of the wearer.
