Description
Two antique hand made prints, the first is a 19th century German colored stone lithograph of monkeys, the second is a framed 18th century steel engraving of baboons. Both are plates that were originally published in natural history volumes. The German made, monkey print measures 15 1/8 x 9 3/4 inches, it has been cut down from its original size. The baboon steel plate engraving is framed in parquetry wood. The print was created in Great Britain in the late 18th century. Its dimensions inside the frame measure 10 1/8 x 7 3/4 inches. The frame parameters are 12 1/2 x 10 1/8 x 5/8. CONDITION: Fair. The monkey lithograph has ink script written in the middle of the page. A few light stains near the page margins.
