Description
Shantung Maple trees (acer truncatum) are similar to their Japanese maple cousins, but come with some unique characteristics. They produce yellow flowers in the spring & they have interesting trunks. Their fall foliage is what's most notable, however. The green leaves turn to a golden yellow with reddish hues. Then they deepen into a bright orange & end up as a blazing red. They're also one of the first to change color in the fall. Shantung maples work well as a small shade tree & they grow in both sun & shade. They also make excellent bonsai specimens. Each pack comes with basic instructions for germination. I'm a USA seller which means faster shipping times as well as higher quality seeds.
