Back when we lived in Cancun, I would ask the Mexicans that I met where they would recommend we travel in Mexico. Time & again I was told: San Miguel de Allende. Finally, we made our way there. I completely understand why this magical city was often suggested. There are beautiful & photogenic scenes around every corner. These doorways in particular made me happy. The beautiful old doors, framed by the rich, vivid, bougainvillea, was striking. I initially found these doors during the middle of the day when the lighting was poor. So I ventured back at dusk to get this shot. I wanted the street light illuminated, & I didn't want any harsh, distracting shadows. Mission accomplished.
