This is a fantastic Vintage To Antique Female Portrait dating to the 1800's. The details are terrific, with a deep rich alluring gaze. There is documentation on the backside identifying the subject as Lydia Marie Hoxey of Ottawa, Illinois in the early to late 19th Century. This piece is in excellent vintage to antique condition, with Definite signs of age & wear. This is a large painting at 31" x 36", & has been restored at one time. The canvas has been "relined" / Laid onto a wooden panel. There is evidence of a Craquelure through out, which has all been stabilized in the restoration. The painting is Framed in what looks to be it's original gesso on wood gilt style frame, frame has definite signs of age & wear all adding to the antiquidous charm.
