This oil is derived from the seed of the Millettia pinnata tree which is native to South & Southeast Asia. Karanja oil is similar to Neem oil as far as beneficial properties go. It is rich in Flavonoids which have the ability to aid both skin & hair in many ways. Karanja oil has been used & documented to help with a number of issues in which I cannot speak to due to FDA regulations. I highly recommend that you do your own research on this incredible oil. The smell of this oil to me is very earthy & almost like fresh dirt. I love it but smell is subjective to each individual, so I find it difficult sometimes describing aromas. If you have never used this oil before we are offering 1/2 ounces size if you would like to sample before buying a larger quantity. All orders 4 ounces & above will be shipped in glass bottles just like smaller quantities. Amber glass has proven over time to be the best, to store, & ship oils in, & it is recyclable.
