I've never seen one quite like it , I've found perhaps 6 black workwear jackets in 25 years ~ It's a great one! Black twill weave cotton ~ I wear a woman's medium & this jacket fits me PERFECTLY ~ This jacket is SO gorgeous ~ I would date this jacket to maybe the 1930s . These jackets are wonderful, medium to lightweight warmth , & super versatile! ~ ~ Unique , one of a kind always, these textiles become works of art with time & use . These coats were used throughout the French countryside & can still be seen today. ~Please view photographs of construction & condition using the zoom feature on the photographs! This jacket is both hand & machine stitched. The pocket is being held on by a rusty safety pin! It can be sewn back or OR not... MEASUREMENTS : This lovely textile measures approximately: 24 inches long 25 inch sleeves 17 inch shoulder ( measured straight across the back seam to seam ) 38 inch chest 36 inch waist CONDITION : This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition!
