A very rare piece of Arts & Crafts Movement embroidery, this antique jewelry pillow would have graced the dressing table of an aristocratic woman, such as Lady Mary of Downton Abbey. Handmade & hand embroidered with exquisite detail, the small Art Nouveau era pillow has a hard filling to support the display of fine jewelry pieces such as bracelets & necklaces. The antique embroidery was worked in fine silk on linen. Please look closely at the photographs for the textile's condition. There are small brown spots from storage & a small hole near the bottom left corner of the pillow. The silk embroidery is in very good condition.
