This is for the PATTERN ONLY. Counted Cross Stitch pattern, Quaker Sampler: A Secret Sky. This design by Jacob de Graaf of Modern Folk Embroidery. An original cross-stitch sampler inspired by traditional Quaker designs. This Quaker sampler features a quote by the Sufi mystic & poet Rumi: "This is love: to fly toward a secret sky, to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment". Stitched on 32 count linen (or 16 count aida) it would measure approximately 45 by 40 cm. Worked with 2 pulled strands of floss, between 89 & 115 metres of 6-stranded cotton would be required. This design features full crosses only & is suitable for both linen & aida stitching.. Pattern includes color photo, black & white stitch chart, as well as a bit of history regarding samplers. The photo does show the design stitched in a monochromatic blue DMC floss, you can certainly adapt the design to your favorite DMC or a combination of your preferred color palette.
