The beauty of nature with its diverse land forms & beautiful colors were something he wanted to capture. in high school he began painting landscapes in oil, but while attending college he discovered the freedom of watercolor. Jack paints in all mediums, but watercolor is his favorite. The beauty & mood of the scene at the time are important to him & he tries to capture that in each painting. Jack is a long standing member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon & has exhibited his painting throughout the Northwest.
