Description
A nice artist signed pottery vase made by the Orcas Island pottery located on Orcas Island, Washington. The studio was operated by Trudy Erwin (1923-2013). This finely crafted vase is hand thrown with fine throwing rings seen on the surface under the glaze. It has a complex white mottled glaze that flows over & blends with the glossy brown glaze. A hint of blue glaze is seen in one spot. The inside is glazed in a glossy white glaze that matches the surface of the vase. It measures 6.125" tall by 4.5" wide. The base is signed ORCAS & artist signed KYP who was likely one of the artists working at the studio over the years. The condition is nice & original on this mid century style pottery vase.
