This is a Coach Mini Belt Bag in British tan leather with solid brass hardware & a crossbody strap. The creed is pre orderly creed number 1277-260. Coach assigned style number 9826 to this bag. This is a very unique miniature combination belt bag or cross body bag. The bag has a detachable 24 inch drop strap ( 50 inches long overall) for use as crossbody or shoulder bag. It has two leather belt loops on the back to allow it to be used as a belt bag. The bag is unlined & it has a suede interior. There is a small slip pocket inside on the back wall of the bag & another slip pocket underneath the flap over cover. This bag can be used to carry the smaller size smart phones that are no longer than 5 inches long but anything larger belongs in some other bag. You can probably fit a tube of lipstick, cash credit cards, & a set of keys in easily. It has a brass spring lock closure instead of the classic turnlock closure. Based on my vintage catalog research I believe Coach began using the spring lock closure on some of its bags in the early 90's. We have a vintage Coach catalog from its winter preview in 1990 that lists this bag as being newly introduced. (Based on the 4 number dash 3 number registration number & its introduction date in 1990, this bag was made sometime between 1990 & 1994 when Coach switched to the orderly creed system) It verifies that the bag we have listed had the style number, dimensions & other characteristics described in our listing, It was available in the following colors: Black, Bone, British Tan, Navy, Forest Green & Red. It has no rips, tears or holes. It is structurally sound. The push lock & strap clips function like new. The person I acquired it from kept it in its Coach box wrapped in Coach logo tissue paper. However, it does not have its original Coach hang tag & I have added a silver tone metal Coach hangtag as a replacement The only scuffing I observed on the bag was a bit of scuffing on the bottom. Aside from that this has fewer signs of use than most bags this age. The owner either kept it wrapped in its box in the closet most of its life or took meticulous care of it.
