This is a classic orchid potting mix suitable for many types of orchids, from medium to large such as phalaenopsis & cattleya. It can be successfully used in a variety of pots, baskets, net cups or bulb pans. The bark pieces measure about 1/2" in size & provide great drainage & air flow to precious orchid roots. As the pot size increases, the chunkiness of the orchid mix should increase as well. Medium fir bark orchid mix includes medium kiln dried sequoia fir bark with medium horticultural charcoal & sponge rock. If your orchid is in need of repotting, this mix is the perfect choice.
