This Late 1800s or Late 19th Century French Wine Bottle Cork Press is a great piece of Antique wooden "Treen", made of Ash wood. A beautiful grain bottle corker in two sections, Inside is a mechanism for placing the cork inside & over the bottle with a central plunger placing the cork into the bottle. It has wonderful patina & colour that only comes with age. It is still functional & can be used if needed, we love it as a decorative antique for the wine bar shelf. It is a very unique model & certainly one of the best ones we've come across. It came out of a French Chateau in Burgundy (Bourgogne) between Dijon & Beaune.
