This is a pre-printed piece of NAVY BLUE cotton fabric with a pattern depicting the Year of the Horse. It's very handy for learning sashiko stitching. The fabric measures 13" x 13" (33 cm x 33 cm) when folded in half & is printed with dye that will wash out. Sashiko needles, thread & thimbles are also available in our shop. This type of kit is called a "hana fukin", or little hand towel. You can complete this kit with one skein of sashiko thread, but may choose to use more than one color for added contrast.
