Description
This is an apron from the 1930s or so from the Balkans. It is woven in fine wool in a very fine weave woven with colorfully dyed wool embellisments in soumak weave. It is surrounded by wool fringes & the tassels for wrapping & tying around the waist are in braided wool. There are a couple of small spots of darning in the field.
