Description
The "Doug" is custom made desk with 3" x 3" welded steel legs connected by 1/4" steel stretchers. There are three dovetailed drawers with soft-close undermount slides, inset into a welded metal frame. The wood for the desktops was salvaged from 2x8 oak floor joist in a barn in Tennessee. Much care was taken to preserve the aged characteristic of the material; it's filled with many saw marks from the early American sawmills, & also loaded with nail holes & worm holes. The most severe holes or indentations were filled to preserve the wood's history. The desktop then received three coats of a commercial-grade finish. The final product turned out amazing. Size of the desk in listing photograph is made of two sections bolted together, Section A= 54"W x 24"D x 30"H, Section B= 42"W x 24"D x 30"H. It is milled entirely from 2" thick authentic reclaimed barnwood, not construction lumber from big box stores. As with all our products, this desk can be modified to most any dimension in order to fit your space & available in various wood species, contact us today for your special quote. Lead times at time of purchase are estimations, please notify us immediately if you have specific deadline that must be maintained. Standard LTL shipping & curbside delivery included. Some minor assembly may be required. Additional charges may be incurred if the shipping destination is categorized as remote or heavily populated area such as NYC, LA, etc. An additional fee of $125 is required for lift-gate truck service, which is required for all destinations that do not have a loading dock. Fee not included in the listed price & will be collected when order is complete, or we can arrange for pickup at Buyer's local trucking terminal.
