The Ashford Super Fine Drum Carder with 120 PPSI (points per square inch) works wonderfully for finer wools & luxury fibers. Carder blends fibers & colors quickly & efficiently. This new, improved model measures 8" in width & has two ratios for even more flexibility & control when carding & blending. Use the 6:1 ratio to prepare your fleece. The controlled intake & carding will produce a smooth even batt ready for blending, spinning or felting. Use the 4:1 ratio to blend sliver, colors & different fiber types consistently into an open & airy batt. Adjustable drum clearance allows you to set the teeth distance for total control of your fiber. All nylon bearings ensure it is light & easy to turn. The card cloth has superfine 120 point wire teeth with a special protective coating & a flexible rubber backing for long life. The carder is strong & robust with the body made from Silver Beech hardwood. It has rubber feet to prevent it from slipping. Card up to a 2oz (50gm) batt quickly & efficiently.
