Bright Star Barn Quilt hand painted on Western Red Cedar Pallet. All my Barn Quilts are painted on new, #1 quality Western Red Cedar ¾" x 5 ¼" fence boards. Unlike plywood or MDO, cedar is insect & decay resistant, making them ideal for covered outdoor or indoor locations (not exposed to direct rainfall). Additionally, the cedar ages, your outdoor Barn Quilt will develop a beautiful patina. The painted surfaces are sanded smooth, sealed, painted with premium acrylic paints, & finished with 3 coats of UV protected Clear Spar Urathane. The pallet slats are secured with cleats that are triple stapled with galvanized fasteners. The top cleat is cut at a 45-degree angle that mates with a supplied French Cleat for hanging your Barn Quilt.
