These embossing stamps are designed to work with polymer clay however, they can be also used on soap & pottery! The stamps have very sharp detailing edges & a stamp depth of 6mm. The stamps are made of PLA, a biodegradable plastic that comes from renewable resources. These stamps do not have a handle, so they need to be lifted from the clay/soap from the edges. However, you can easily glue them to a wooden block to create a handle. To avoid clay getting trapped in small & detailed places of the cutter/stamp, you can try dipping your clay in water or corn starch (or polymer clay powder) before pressing the stamp into the clay. Press firmly but very gently! Make sure to also press evenly so you get the same result everywhere. We recommend practicing for a bit on scrap clay in order to feel more comfortable with the technique. Measurements of the stamps are taken at the widest or tallest part of the stamp & refer to the actual symbol area that will be embossed on the clay. Size: 40mm To clean your cutters/stamps use a damp cloth or a wet tissue. You can also use a needle or a toothpick to remove any clay stuck in the sharp/small edges. Not dishwasher safe.
