This curtain is a rarity to the norm of what I generally post. This Panel is not the usual "shabby chic" that makes up the majority of my decor. It is a very "French" decorative panel that I added to my collection when I was decorating a corner of the farmhouse with a vibrant French theme. For those that have been following me for some time, this panel came from the same Montpellier France estate as the faience chandelier that was listed & sold. This French panel is very vibrant & depicts that region of France so perfectly. Known for their luxurious- bold decor, this panel would have been very expensive for its time. Hand stitched from French twill barkcloth in a French red with hibiscus flowers in blues whites oranges & khaki. The back is lined with French silk! There is a stitched ruflette for hook mounting. This panel is a wonderful addition to any French themed / French county / Farmhouse or any space that is looking for a vibrant statement. It can be used as a window panel or a back drop or for other decorative purposes. It is also a great addition to any collection of French textiles. measuring aprox 67" in length & roughly 30" W across the top pleat & aprox 31" wide across the bottom This panel is vintage & may show signs of wear but is in beautiful condition for its age.
