Matusuno Beads was founded in 1935 in Osaka & is the oldest of the 3 major Japanese bead manufacturers. Collectively, the Japanese seed bead companies have made a science of creating extraordinarily beautiful seed beads. I have personally used Matsuno seed beads for over 10 years in my beadweaving & as a brick & mortar bead shop owner I am always impressed with the range of finishes & fabulous colors. Size 8 are great for bead looming, Kumihimo, kids stringing projects, bead crochet & bead knitting etc.. Matsuno beads tend to be taller (hole to hole) than they are around which makes them look a bit cylindrical.
