The poster was made to promote skiing at Taos (New Mexico) - founded in 1955, however the original village was founded by miners in the 1800s. This is a great retro travel poster that would be the perfect décor for the winter resort or as a special gift to the one who like to ski & maybe have been on visited Taos.
