This is an early 20th c. hooked rug worked in cotton on burlap with a bald eagle with wreath & "E Pluribus Unum". This rug is large & quite heavy, measuring 34 1/2" by 45 1/2". To be honest, I think the photos make the colors look more vibrant than they really are. It is extremely faded on the top. The rug also has overall wear & stains, & there are a few small holes where the loops have pulled through to the back. This is ex-Blue Flag Antiques (Rhode Island).
