These tiny sterling silver disc earrings might be minimalist but the lovely mandala design is too intricate, too hypnotic, to be considered plain. They will be a favorite you will reach for every day, encapsulating your unique sense of style in a subtle, easy-going way. They are so light you will forget you're wearing them but when you feel them dance with every move of your head you'll be reminded. Hopefully they will be a talisman to remind you to be present & to remember your playful spirit too! The little mehndi patterned discs were made by me in my home studio in suburban Maryland. I used silver metal clay, rolled out & stamped, then cut into small circles. Once fired the clay becomes pure sterling silver. I tumbled them for several hours & then oxidized them with an iridescent patina, buffed away the surface oxidation to bring out the detail of the design, added the simple sterling silver earwires & then tumbled them again for several hours for shine. All my earrings will come with little stoppers so that you won't lose them, even during scarf & coat weather! The overall measurement of the little earrings is 3/4 inches long with the disc measuring 3/8 inches round.
