A ceramic.Amazing piece from the oldest workshop in Greece & my business parthners .This beautiful piece is made from natural clay & contains two pieces.The base (cup) for the oil & the candles (wicks) & the top cup with Virgin Mary Icon from Monastery of Meteora Greece St.Stefanos The back of the vigil lamp have carved holes for the smoke from the burning candles. The models are two but with different combination of the oil cups & all have Virgin Mary image,(total four models),white glaze & two different model cups for the oil -Greek Blue color cup & Greek Blue Marble efe cup.Each model have glaze outside/inside. Dimention Height from 15cm-16cm/5.90in-6.29in Dimention/Diameter Cup 10cm/3.93in Diameter of the cup (for the oil) 5.5cm/2.16in Way of use: put in the cup paraffin oil or olive oil above the middle of the cup. Then use the wicks & the natural cork base for the wicks like we use the classic oil lamps. Then put the top cup on the plate. Move it only from the plate part. Don't touch the top part when is burning .The clay absorb heat! Safety Notes: Be sure that the oil lamp is placed & remains on a heat resistant surface when in use. Keep away from inflamable materials. Keep away from children & animals. What is natural clay: Clay is a type of fine-grained natural soil material that contains hydrous aluminium phyllosilicates (clay minerals) that develops plasticity when wet. Geologic clay deposits are mostly composed of phyllosilicate minerals containing variable amounts of water trapped in the mineral structure.
