Golden Bantam 12 is a fast-maturing variety which makes it ideal for those who may have a shorter growing season. This has been a popular standard variety of corn since the early 20th century. These plants will average 7-8 feet tall & will yield an average of 7-8 ears of sweet corn, loaded with juicy kernels. This is an excellent standard variety if you are looking to grow yellow corn for steaming, roasting, or boiling. Adding a little butter & salt will only complement the sweetness of this variety. These can be grown in containers, just ensure you have a container deep enough to let the stalks support themselves. You also want to make sure it's large enough that you can plant your corn to ensure proper spacing for optimal growth & production.
