This beautiful classy vintage pewter tankard, stein, mug is from the early 1960's. These pewter mugs are rare & collectible. A tapered tankard, features a simple, elegant linear pattern around its body. Topped off with hinged lightweight lid. Marked on the underside with the crown, the makers mark & "Gentre 514 Pewter Made in Sheffield England". Approximately 6" tall to the top of the lid, 6 1/4" wide, including a spout & a handle, & 4" deep. Great for use & display in a Victorian home, or it would make a beautiful gift. Pretty versatile. Perfect size to use as a coffee pot, a tea pot, a pitcher or a creamer. Pewter has an odd warmth in appearance that allows it to seamlessly meld with traditional & modern table settings alike.
