Description
An elaborate, hand wrought, seven piece coin silver, octagonal side tea set made by Lincoln & Reed of Boston. The main pieces are engraved on one side with the monogram of "HFY" & the date "1847." The set is chased in a fancy scroll & floral pattern. The hot water pot stand has repousse flowers & fancy clover feet. The pot is secured on its stand with pins on two sides. Included in the set are: Hot water pot with stand & spirit lamp, Tea pot, Creamer, Sugar bowl, Waste bowl. Neither the stand nor burner are hallmarks. Their silver purity has been determined through testing. The hot water pot on its stand measures 14 1/2 inches high, the tea pot is 8 1/2 H. The set weighs 141.62 troy ounces. CONDITION: Excellent.
