Danish mid-century modern teak & oak dining chair Ch-23 designed by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Son made in Denmark. The wood frame is made with oak, & the backrest is made with teak. The butterfly joints shows a signature feature of Wegner's work. It has been newly refinished & has new paper cord seat. It is sturdy, & overall, it is in excellent vintage condition. There is no maker's mark on the chair, but it is authentic one. The last two photos shows the comparison of the color difference on the paper cord with another ch-23 chair in another listing. The left one is the chair on this listing. Hans J. Wegner is recognized worldwide as "the Master of the Chair" & designed more than 500 chairs. A number of museums feature his furniture in their collections. Wegner is one of the most influential furniture designers in the twentieth century.
