A cool vintage Marcelo Fantoni Italian pottery vase made for Raymor with cool mid century style great surface design & coloration. This large Fantoni cylindrical vase form has good thickness & features an abstract square & rectangle shaped pattern stamped on the surface on two sides. The background glaze is a hand brushed deep green to black coloration with a black glossy interior & black base foot. The mid century style block decorations on the sides are hand glazed in yellow & bright orange tones over the dark green background glaze. This large vase makes quite a statement due it large size measuring 14.25" tall by 3.875" wide by 3.625" deep. This same block vase design was used by Fantoni on a variety of square & rectangular vase forms in a variety of sizes using the same glaze combinations. The base has the Fantoni Italy for Raymor mark. The condition is very nice & on this large Marcelo Fantoni art pottery vase. A very small base chip & tiny inner block edge chip has been professionally restored. We note one tiny separation in the clay on the outside of the rim in one place as originally made.
