This Gorgeous Natural Battle Mountain Blue Gem Turquoise double sided drop pendant was cut & polished in my studio & is surrounded with a row of solid 14k Gold beads used as a Bezel, & has a 5/32" wide 14k gold bale. This is an extraordinarily nice of Natural Vein Turquoise with flecks of Pyrite. The Gem High-Grade Intense Blue Battle Mountain is polished on the front, back & all sides to a 50,000 diamond finish. The overall weight of the stone is 15 Ct. & is an amazing blue. Just breathtaking in person. The Turquoise measures approximately 30.1 mm ( 1 3/16") tall including the bale, 16.6 mm (11/16" ) wide, by 3.1 mm ( 1/8" ) Thick. "The 14k Gold Chain is Included " The Blue Gem Turquoise Mine was located in the Copper Basin area southwest of Battle Mountain, Lander County, Nevada, USA. Production of this turquoise mine started about 1934 & continued until the 1970's. Blue Gem Turquoise is still some of the finest turquoise ever found, & unlike most turquoise mines, (in which the majority mined is chalky & only usable if stabilized) most of the turquoise found there was of gem-quality. There is a distinctive aqua color that some people associate with Blue Gem turquoise, although it produced a great variety of colors, especially when intense blue was combined with deep green in one stone. Very little large material ever came out of the Blue Gem Turquoise Mine, the majority found was small 1mm - 4mm "feeder" veins. I've tried my best to catch the intense blue in my photographs, but this turquoise is difficult to photograph. It is the finest turquoise blue color I have ever worked with.
