Wonderful, iconic HAR red enamel tomato brooch/pin. This design is one of HAR's most popular, but these days very few tomato with a wormhole pins appear on the market. Add it to your jewelry collection while you can! Signed HAR on the reverse side. Circa 1950s Features a bright red enameled tomato topped with green enameled leaves & adorned with a tiny, prong set, faceted green rhinestone. The back has a textured gold tone finish At first glance, the pin could be taken for new. Length: 1 1/4" Width: 1 1/2" Red/green enamel & green rhinestone are in excellent condition : No notations. Safety catch & pin are in good working order. This is a Book piece ( see pic ). Great for a collector - as HARs of enamel fruit, vegetable & flower brooches are becoming rare...especially in this condition. HAR ( HARGO ) was only in operation from 1955 - 1967, further increasing interest among collectors.
