Description
This is an 19th century or older Chinese enameled eight lobes plate. It is decorated with a chicken running in the grass. Then there are flowers & butterflies overhead. The back side has Islamic script & a lattice ribbon around the foot. One can see the unevenness in the formed porcelain. Which is how older Chinese porcelain looks. The plate measures 1 1/4" tall & has a 6 1/4" diameter. The chip in the foot ring & the rim chip shows the white clay. Other then the damage I mentioned the rest of the plate is in good shape.
