Please follow us on Instagram, we are @textiletrunk This RARE & early textile is French & dates c 1750 or earlier for the cambrisine ( hand embordered floral section) & the hand block printed design ( the leaf-ish) dates c 1790 ~ so the construction dates c 1790 or just after, using the earlier cambrisine ~ This textile was used as a bed curtain! ~ I wish so much I could see the other textiles that would have hung with it! This textile is backed in natural linen ~ The hand embroidered cambrisine is just gorgeous! It's usually embroidered in various shades like ombre ~ they blend so beautifully ~ This textile is museum quality . I'm leaving it in unwashed as found condition but can be hand washed & hung to dry It's wonderful! MEASUREMENTS : This lovely textile measures approximately 19 inches by 87 inches ~ CONDITION: This wonderful fabric is in as found, unwashed condition. There are age marks dotted all around this piece.
