This heating pad heats the back & front of the knee. Your place the pad down put your leg on top & wrap the pad around your leg. The top of the pad gets placed on top of the knee. The heating pad is filled with rice, flax, dried lavender buds & lavender essential oil. The rice & flax heat up while the relaxing aromatherapy of the lavender is released. You do not have to include lavender if you prefer. Please include a message with your order. This heating pillow was designed for a friend who had knee surgery. The request was to apply heat to the front as well as the back of the knee. There are no straps or Velcro. You can adjust the pillow to where you need. The side of the material does not heat up. The side allows you to wrap it around the leg comfortably. You could also use for other parts of the body like an ankle or shin. My heating pads can also be placed in the freezer for cold therapy. I have many types of material. I use flannel material & have neutral patterns & colors. I also have floral flannel. Please include in message what type of colors or patterns you prefer. I can send pictures of current material in stock. I offer two sizes medium is approximately 10" across the top & 7" for the bottom The large is 12" across top & 8" across the bottom.
