This is a gorgeous large 18K gold vermeil medal of Our Lady of Fatima that measures 29mm in diameter. A quarter coin measure 24.26mm in diameter, so it is larger than a quarter & heavier. The medal & comes with an 18K gold vermeil bail. The front of the medal has the Portuguese words: "NOSSA SENHORA DO ROSARIO DA FATIMA" - "Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima" & the reverse is an image of the THREE CHILDREN of FATIMALúcia dos Santos (age 10), Francisco Marto (age 9) & Jacinta Marto (age 7) with the Blessed Mother handing them a rosary. Our Lady of Fátima, is a Catholic title of Mary, mother of Jesus based on the Marian apparitions reported in 1917 by three shepherd children at the Cova da Iria, in Fátima, Portugal.
