Hand embroidered very delicate gauze cotton 30s Hungarian folk blouse. Light white cotton with floral & heart embroidery in pastelly pinks, blue, green, yellow & brown. Gathered colourful stitching to hem & neck & cuffs. Slit to the neck with small tie to the collar. Short sleeve & cropped waist length. Made in Hungary. SIZE The blouse is not labeled with a size, but fits approx a general size XS-S. Please refer to the measurements for your best fit. Measurements sounds deceptively large, I found this to be quite a small fit on me & I normally wear a UK10. Chest: to fit approx 32-34" (40" full stretched but this is meant to fit very loosely & blousey so you need to leave quite a bit of room for movement) Waist: 32" Sleeve: 7.5" from underarm to cuff Length: 18" CONDITION Good condition, still very wearable, but a delicate piece that has been well loved & hence shows quite a few signs of wear & repair. -Small bust dart repairs to either side of the underarm, kind of looks like part of the construction, but these are repairs. -Some small holes & scuffs scattered about. The worst of these are on the inside of the sleeve, where there is some darning & slightly larger holes. It also looks like the sleeves have been taken up as there is a seam just above the gathered cuff, though this is not very obvious when worn.-Some very slight underarm yellowing.
